Last week, we welcomed a group of carpenters to the Tywi Centre to develop their skills in the field of sash window repair.  Guided by a shared passion for craftsmanship and restoration, participants delved into the intricate world of sash windows, mastering techniques that breathe new life into these architectural gems.

Throughout the course, participants were immersed in hands-on learning, discovering the secrets behind restoring sash windows to their former glory. From understanding the elements that make up the frame and the sashes to understanding the cording system and balancing the weights, every aspect was meticulously covered.

One of the highlights was witnessing the enthusiasm and dedication of our participants as they honed their skills. Some of the feed back from the day included:

' I really enjoyed the three days-- it was a perfect mix of info and practical. Tom was great and gave loads of really useful tips and knowledge'- Mike

' Excellent course- very informative, very clear instructions from Tom. I feel as though this course has enabled me to improve my skills'- Fergus
