Brochure of funded, short courses now available

November 2020

The Tywi Centre have produced a new brochure to help people in the construction industry access the great range of short courses that are available to them. These courses will all help you to improve your skills and expertise whilst working on traditional and heritage buildings – perhaps opening up a new revenue stream, or enabling you to brush up on rusty skills, or giving a new entrant into the industry some accredited skills for their CV.

The courses range from very practical training such as the repair of traditional heavy timber framework, lime plastering techniques and traditional stonework to theoretical courses such as surveying techniques and Architectural recognition. We also offer accredited courses such as the Level 3 Award in the Repair and Maintenance of Traditional (pre-1919) buildings.

The Tywi Centre are an Approved Training Organisation (ATO) for the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB). ATO’s are recognised by CITB as training providers that consistently deliver high quality training the meets industry needs.  So, not only are our courses delivered by knowledgeable, experienced and qualified tutors, they may also be eligible for CITB Skills and Training fund.
