Setting the Standard in Heritage Training
Since 2009, The Tywi Centre has provided specialist training, expert advice and practical support for the care and conservation of historic buildings across Wales and the UK. We work with homeowners, craftspeople, building professionals, local authorities and heritage organisations, helping them develop the skills and confidence to repair, maintain and manage traditional buildings appropriately.
Through hands-on training, professional qualifications, technical guidance and public engagement, we promote best practice in heritage conservation and champion the traditional skills needed to safeguard our historic built environment. As the UK’s only centre delivering NVQ Level 3 qualifications in Heritage Construction Skills in masonry, plastering and carpentry, we play a vital role in supporting the next generation of heritage craftspeople.
