What is a Passivhaus
UK buildings are responsible for 25% of our carbon emissions. Passivhaus is your toolkit to tackle the climate emergency, a proven approach to slashing building energy in use in addition to delivering high standards for comfort and occupant health.

Passivhaus is a standard that needs to meet 5 main principles.

  1. High quality insulation.
  1. Heat control and robust windows
  1. Airtight construction.
  1. Heat recovery ventilation.
  1. Thermal bridge free design.

For a brief overview and further resources we recommend you visit The Passivhaus Trust.
