Sustainable and Traditional Buildings Fair

08/02/24

Make a date for the Tywi Centre’s Sustainable and Traditional Buildings Fair – the event of the year! Experts, suppliers, and contractors will be coming together to help you make your home more sustainable.

Did you know? In Wales, our 1.4 million homes use 27% of all energy. As we all search for answers to how we can make adaptations and improvements to our homes, the information can become confusing – cut the confusion and let us guide you through eco-friendly home solutions, while we celebrate a greener future and our nation’s great heritage! The Fair covers everything from energy-saving to innovations and is an event the whole family can enjoy, with entertainment from Circus Eruption!

Traditional Buildings:

Get practical advice from specialists like Lime plasterers, stonemasons, and traditional carpenters. Watch practical skills demonstrations from our experts and have a try yourself! Explore historic buildings with Alex Langlands (Archaeologist, historian, TV presenter, Author and University Lecturer) and get project advice from conservation specialists. Find the best materials with samples from Celtic Sustainables and Ty Mawr Lime.

Sustainable Buildings:

Discover environmentally responsible practices with Phil Roberts sharing the award-winning design of the Velindre Cancer Hospital. Learn about sustainable construction and the use of clay within construction, with Roland Keeble from EBUKI and find inspiration from suppliers like Weinerberger.
