David was a student on the Building our Heritage Bursary Scheme in the year 2015-16. He had placements with the Traditional Building Company, based near Hay-on-Wye.

Amongst all the knowledge I acquired, my carpentry skills have become more refined and my confidence in my knowledge and skill has greatly increased. It was the best thing I’ve ever done. Restoring and repairing historical housing and buildings gives a satisfaction to which is its own reward.
And now . . .
I am still employed by my Bursary Scheme placement provider and I work on many interesting projects
