Tywi Centre gets the go-ahead to deliver the Level 3 Award in Energy Efficiency and Retrofit in Traditional (Pre-1919) Buildings.

January 2021

Every home in the UK needs to be warmer, more efficient and more economic to live in.  This 2-day, online course will enable you to determine the most appropriate energy efficiency measures for our nations’ historic buildings.

In Wales, where approximately 1/3 of our housing stock was built before 1919, we need to ensure that these buildings are playing their full part in the move towards a Zero Carbon economy.

In line with the PAS2035 it is a requirement for all Retrofit Assessors to have this qualification prior to specifying energy efficiency measures for any protected historic domestic properties in the UK.  However, we recognise that this course would be of value to anyone working in the construction sector wishing to improve the energy efficiency of buildings of traditional construction.

As such, the Welsh Traditional Buildings Forum is heavily subsidising the delivery of this course until the end of March 2021, thanks to a grant from the Wales Cultural Recovery Fund.

So, Construction Contractors, Retrofit Assessors, Specifiers, Retrofit Co-ordinators and owners of Historic Building portfolios please do join the course to take advantage of this great offer.
