Carmarthenshire Shopfront Design - An introduction

Newcastle Emlyn

10th October has been postponed. New date to be confirmed
No charge

This course will help shop owners, custodians and developers to appreciate the benefits of looking after and celebrating a historic shop front and re-designing a new shop front in classic proportions and styles.  It will discuss the impact that the condition of individual shops has on a streetscape and how important they are in supporting regeneration of an area.

The course will build on the information available in the Shop Front Design Guide: and will cover the history of our high streets; changes and alterations which would meet with planning guidance; appropriate repairs and maintenance; and where to find further support and information.  Click here to view Carmarthenshire Shopfront Design Guide

We will spend some time out and about on the high street surveying local examples, discussing traditional features and the heritage stories that they tell.

Join us on this journey to transform commercial spaces so that they resonate with customers and respect heritage.

Course duration: 3 hours
