The course on the 9th October 2024 is available, fully funded for people who live or work in Carmarthenshire and the Region thanks to UK Government Levelling Up Funding. This 1-day course will support building professionals to undertake condition surveys on historic windows and determine the extent of repair that they require.

It will include essential information for applications for Listed Building Consent covering:

  • - the significance of historic windows.
  • - the components.
  • - identifying decay and its causes.
  • - drawing profiles.
  • - recognising the extent of repair required.
  • - specifying materials and finishes.
  • - writing condition surveys.

Join us to learn how to preserve the charm and authenticity of traditional timber windows for generations to come.

In 2024 there is no charge for this course thanks to funding from the UK Government's Levelling Up Fund.

As the places are limited, they will be priority will be given to architects, contractors, carpenters passionate about maintaining the architectural heritage of wooden windows who live and/or work in Carmarthenshire.
